I fear

Blossoming at a delicate age
With a heart brimming with dreams
I fear of getting to be my main event
And not have any desire to be
They let me know this is huge enclosure
Of decision you didn’t pick
They let me know the fallen angel
With accompany of a brutal stick
The fiend is not here to take you away
To execute you or beverage your blood
Anyhow to harm it gradually
The fantasies with a huge crash
Recoil in fear
Not for the satisfaction of dreams
however for not having one
Shudder in fear
Not for pursuing them
But conversely assembling one
Agonize over fear
For getting to be somebody
I would prefer not to be
Somebody they taught me to be
Yet not somebody that fits in with me….

  1. Amazingly written. But the best lines in this poem for me are ..
“Somebody they taught me to be
Yet not somebody that fits in with me….”

I’ll use them in my next poem whenever I write it ;)
